Situated within the village of Banavie on the Great Glen Way, our quality backpackers' hostel is ideal for hill walkers, cyclists or groups pursuing outdoor activities. We are just 3 miles from Fort William and the West Highland Way, with inspiring views of Ben Nevis from the village and a patio where you can relax and meet fellow travellers. Our quality hostel accommodation sleeps up to 48 persons with 4 bed, 6 bed and 8 bed rooms, which are suitable for groups or individuals.

Each of our 7 bedrooms is fully carpeted with a washbasin and quality bunk-beds. Warm bed linen is provided and all beds have good quality duvets and pillows. The hostel has a well equipped self-catering kitchen with a fridge for fresh food, toasters, kettles, microwaves and cooking burners. In addition to the dining room, there is a TV lounge and a quiet lounge with a warm wood-burning stove for when it's really cold. Hot showers.

We have free parking, a drying room for wet gear, a secure cycle shed and a secure area to lock up your canoes. Pay-as-you-go internet access is available, with free Wi-fi access. The Moorings Hotel and the Lochy Bar are just a short walk from the hostel for generous portion meals. We are a non-smoking establishment but you can smoke outside in the grounds and on the patio.
We offer a Rent-a-Hostel service for large groups (up to 48) - providing exclusive use of the hostel.
The village of Banavie has links with Queen Victoria who visited by train in 1873 and St Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, who it is said was born in Banavie in c.AD389.
Located in a most beautiful part of Scotland, you can see Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, from the village. Only 100m away is the famous 'Neptune's Staircase' on the Caledonian Canal, which leads from Corpach and Loch Linnhe in the South, through Loch Lochy and Loch Ness, and on to Inverness in the North. Follow the 'Road to the Isles' to Skye and beyond. We are easily accessed by bus from Skye, Inverness, Oban and Glasgow, and by train from Mallaig or Fort William and the South .
