Originally built as the Lower Observatory for Ben Nevis in 1889, Glentower is only 5 minutes from Fort William High Street, yet has superb views across Loch Linnhe and the Ardgour Hills. Our spacious bedrooms are tastefully decorated and provide all the facilities you would expect of a 4 Star property. We have doubles, twins and family rooms, many with views overlooking Loch Linnhe and the moored yachts. All rooms are en suite with power showers, whilst 2 deluxe family rooms with baths. Each room has TV, radio alarm clocks, hairdryer and tea/coffee making hospitality tray.

Glentower provides access to various outdoor activities as well as providing a unique historic background. Observations began here in the middle of July 1890 and continued until 1904, when funding became an issue. During that time there was a continuous record of barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, rainfall, etc, by day and by night, both on the summit of Ben Nevis and at sea level.
