Located in a quiet residential area on the hillside behind the town of Fort William, our family run establishment overlooks picturesque Loch Linnhe and the surrounding hills. Built at the turn of the 20th Century, Gowan Brae has been operated as a Bed and Breakfast for over 60 years by three generations of the Smith family. Fort William's High Street is only a 3 minute walk away and this 'Gateway to the Highlands' is the ideal base from which to tour the West Highlands. Prices from: £25 per person per night
Gowan Brae has two en suite bedrooms and one twin room with private facilities. Rooms 1 and 2 overlook Loch Linnhe and the surrounding hills, whilst Room 3 looks out into the garden at the rear of the house. All rooms are equipped with TV and hospitality tray. An extensive breakfast menu, where you can choose from Full Scottish Breakfast or Vegetarian, is on offer in our dining room. Particular attention is given to the quality and presentation of the food served at breakfast.

Off street parking is available in the 2 driveways adjacent to the house. Gowan Brae is a non smoking establishment. Packed lunches available by arrangement.
Nearby attractions include the stunning Glen Nevis which lies at the foot of Britain's highest mountain. Providing breathtaking scenery and accessible by either road or foot, the Glen is 7 miles long with the road narrowing to single track at the Lower Falls.
The Jacobite steam train is a popular attraction, running from Fort William to the fishing port of Mallaig, and following the famous Road to the Isles.
