From the time we entered the property we found it to be appealing, exceptionally clean and inviting. The room was very comfortable again exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, soft bedding, every detail of comfort one could possibly think of was met. The area was quiet and we slept well. The location was excellent in terms of the city center and transport stations. The owners were very friendly, always greeted us with a smile, provided information and asked how our day was. The food was excellent and the dining area was very pleasant. All the guest we met seem to be enjoying their stay and also said what a great B&B it was. The best way for me to describe Abermar is: "it is like spending the night at your best friends house" I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Location

Inverness is a pretty town, however there is not a lot of historical attractions in the town. A few, but most of their main points of interest such as the castle etc are office buildings and many of the beautiful churches were closed. It is very convenient to use as a base to explore the highlands on a day trip. We did find that public transportation in that area of Scotland was outstanding and could be used to travel to many places outside the city. The bus and train station are very convenient in the town center. We also found the bus drivers as well as the people of the city themselves to be helpful. friendly and offer to give us directions.
