I was pleased with everything from the welcoming staff (and cat!) to the room, the very clean and new bathroom, rich breakfast buffet, great choice of DVDs etc.. The only negative thing would be that I couldn't connect to their secure wifi from my room and had to go to the dining room to do so.
Location
I would like to point out the People's Palace which is well worth a trip and a night at The Stand (a Comedy Club) which is about a ten minute walk from the Alamo Guest house.

Excellent furnishings and style - but far more important than that were the kind pople who were willing to go the extra mile for my daughter who was unwell. Breakfast was stupendous in terms of choice and I can thoroughly reccommend the Alamo to any begetarians out there.

Very nice place. Great hospitality, very friendly stuff. For being situated in almost city centre, this is very reasonable price.

The management/owners were friendly, accomodating and very helpful-lovely. The rooms were excellent, a problem occurred in one of the rooms and it was professionally & quickly handled. The breakfast was a good choice & delicious & plenty. Have recommended to friends. The resident cat adds extra friendliness...

Excellent setting. Beautiful views, we walked everyone. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and the main shopping just down the road, not to mention museums parks all jsut across the raod, super location!

Very nice B&B in a quiet and green neighbourhood with many restaurants nearby. Warm welcome, nice bedroom and excellent breakfast.

The Guest House was the perfect conclusion to a 14 day tour of the UK. The room was very clean, filled with period features and romantic and the hosts were wonderful. The extra-large soaker tube for two was also a real treat after a long, tiring trip.
Location
The location was nice - across from a park. Restaurants were just around the corner. The bust stop to the airport is also just around the corner, which saved me the cost of taxi fare. It was quiet location and a lovely place to stay.
