Large comfortable room, with both bath and shower, well heated with tv and tea and coffee, delightful view. Lounge and bar very pleasant and the breakfasts were excellent. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful.
Location
For once we had 3 days of unbroken sunshine on the mountains.

What made it outstanding was the hospitality and service we received from the couple running the accommodation, nothing was too much trouble and they went way beyond the call of duty. To be honest, we were a little disappointed with Fort William as we had anticipated it to be more like a village environment than what we experienced but Guisachan House made it special and inviting and at the end of the day they were who made it a very enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely time. They were extremely helpful, in particular changing arrangements so that my Mother would be nearer to us and on ground level which makes it easier for her but isn't actually essential.
Would certainly recommend them to friends and relations
Location
We booked to travel on the Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig

The room was relatively spacious - room to move around; lovely view from the window; a bath as well as a shower (altho we couldn't work out how to use the taps)Plenty of tea coffeetho no shampoo; breakfast was plentiful and delicious
Location
We visited specifically to have travelled by train from Glasgow esp. across Rannoch Moor, and then to ride the steam train to Mallaig. Also had an enjoyable meal at the Alexandra Hotel

Decent, if fairly average accommodation. Rooms were clean but perhaps not as modern as we'd expected. Shower in our room [we had 3 rooms in total] was ok but cramped.
Public areas of this B+B seemed good, although we didn't use them.
Some facilities for walkers [this is Fort William, after all] - such as a rucksack stowage area and a drying room, would be useful.
Breakfast was 'ok' but nothing special.
Location
This B+B sits in a good position close to the Railway Station, and Fort William town centre, and is close to the start of the Great Glen Way.
