Situated excellently for the exploration of the centre of Glasgow.
Location
I was disappointed to find on arrival that a hotel which provided such comprehensive instructions for travelling to it by road had no parking facilities and that these were found some blocks away albeit at a discounted rate.

Basic but clean room which could do with a few minor repairs to drawers etc. Very good breakfast and very helpful reception and other staff.

Part of the appeal of the Merchant Lodge is that it is located in the oldest part of Glasgow and the facility has some limitations related to its age and location. Overall the accommodations met our expectations and we would return again. The breakfast, especially, was well prepared and extensive.
Location
Great location, within walking distance of the bus link to Glasgow airport, and all the attractions of downtown. A good base for exploring the city.
