The accommodation was acceptable for a grade 2 hotel. Towels changed for our return at night but the tea / coffee was not replenished after our day out. The shared shower and bathroom facility was clean and acceptable. An early breakfast was difficult to arrange over the weekend. There is no private car park except for public parking on the terrace itself. It was a case of pot luck on arrival and leave the car where it was parked for the weekend.

The hotel is situated within all local amenities and public transport to any part of the city.

Whilst the beds were clean and the bathroom was clean the actual bedroom was quite dusty, there was no chair so if you wanted to sit down you had to sit on a bed. There was plenty of breakfast but the plates and the food were quite cold.

Location

My daughter is at Glasgow University so the location for visiting her was perfect.

Our stay at the Lomond Hotel was acceptable but only just. Whilst the accommodation was somewhat dated it was however clean and relatively tidy. Unfortunately heating was limited to short periods in the morning and evening. This meant that the rooms were cold early evening when getting ready to go out. We were attracted to the Hotel by the description of its facilities and provision of a full Scottish breakfast. On our first morning we were informed that only a Continental style breakfast was available. This was not what we had booked and only after some discussion did he agree to provide a cooked breakfast.

Comfortable room, plentiful hot water, friendly staff. Inconvenient phone restrictions, not well explained by staff.

Very well situated for visiting the West End - walking distance to Botanic Gardens, shops and restaurants, and the University
